The Galaxy A-series includes some of Samsung&rsquo;s best-selling smartphones worldwide, and the new A55 and A35 aim to continue that streak.
At first glance, it is quite difficult to set them apart, and that is because they share a bunch of features, from their screens to their batteries and charging capabilities.
However, the A55 is about ₹9,000 dearer than the A35 since it comes with slightly superior hardware.
So, if you are in the market for a Samsung midrange phone and wondering which one out of these two you should pick, then keep reading!
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Unboxing</h3>
Inside each retail box, you get the phone, a SIM ejector pin, and a USB Type-C to C cable.
This is a typical Samsung affair, so do not expect any bundled charger.
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Design &amp; Utility</h3>
While the design of every new Samsung smartphone looks more or less the same nowadays, these two smartphones bring something new to the table.
What you&rsquo;d see on the right side of both these models is what Samsung calls a 'key island'. While the frame is flat, the area around the keys is raised and rounded.
Everyone will not like it, but I find it pretty cool. Plus, it makes locating buttons a tad bit easier when you&rsquo;re not looking at the device.
The frame on the A55 is constructed out of aluminium, while that on the A35 is made of plastic.
But, in terms of the overall footprint and weight, these two smartphones are incredibly close with negligible differences.&nbsp;
If you prefer some visual flair, then the A35&rsquo;s 'awesome lilac' colour should interest you. It forms these cool iridescent patterns when exposed to light.
Both models feature a glossy glass back, and get Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection on the front. Also standard on both is an IP67 rating, which should make them quite resistant to heavy splashes of water.
For audio, there are dual speakers on both models, which sound crisp and deliver decent bass.
But, there is one obvious issue with the design. The relatively thick display bezels of this size do make these smartphones look outdated from the front.&nbsp;
Anyway, the optical fingerprint sensors on the A55 and A35 also work decently in terms of accuracy and speed.
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Display</h3>
The Galaxy A55 and A35 are built around the same 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of FHD+ and a refresh rate of 120Hz.&nbsp;
The local high brightness on both models is 1000 nits, which is fine and makes them pretty usable outdoors.
As far as the display quality is concerned, it is really good with punchy colours and no colour shifts with different viewing angles.&nbsp;
You get HDR10+ and Widevine L1 certifications as well, so watching content on OTT platforms should not be a problem.
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Software</h3>
On the software front, both the A55 and A35 run on One UI 6.1 based on Android 14.
It is a familiar software that&rsquo;s feature-packed and fast at the same time.
However, this is not the same One UI you find on Samsung&rsquo;s flagship smartphones, because it comes with pre-installed apps and Glance lock screen. So yes, you will have to put in some work to declutter the software.
On the flipside, you get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates with these phones.
It is a big deal, especially when it comes to the A35, since no other brand gives such a long update promise in the ₹30,000 segment.&nbsp;
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Performance</h3>
Now let&rsquo;s shift focus on the Exynos silicon that powers these two smartphones.&nbsp;
The A35 runs on the same Exynos 1380 that powered the A54 last year. It is a middle-of-the-road chipset which focuses on efficiency.&nbsp;
It handles everyday tasks effortlessly and can handle games like BGMI at medium graphic settings, though it's best not to push it beyond that.&nbsp;
What&rsquo;s more interesting is the new Exynos 1480 that debuts on the A55. This 4nm chipset is approximately 20% more powerful than the Exynos 1380.
An Antutu score of around 7,20,000 puts this chipset somewhere around the Dimensity 7200 in terms of raw performance.&nbsp;
Like its sibling, the A55 is designed with everyday usability in mind, making it a good choice for those who value a phone that balances efficiency and performance. &nbsp;&nbsp;
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Cameras</h3>

The A55 and A35 have triple rear cameras. Both have a 50MP primary camera and a 5MP macro camera. However, the ultrawide sensor specs differ: it is 8MP on the A35 and 12MP on the A55.&nbsp;
The selfie cameras are also different: it is 32MP on the A55 and 13MP on the A35.
Both smartphones deliver pretty decent camera performance for their respective price segment.&nbsp;
Weirdly enough, the A35 in some scenarios clicked better photos than the A55.&nbsp;
Both smartphones can also shoot 4K 30fps videos with their primary cameras, and the footage is quite comparable on both actually with good stability and detail.
<h3>Samsung Galaxy A55 &amp; Galaxy A35 Battery Life</h3>
Both smartphones come with a 5,000mAh battery and support 25W wired charging. Now, 25W is not fast enough by current standards, and not getting a bundled charger does not help either.
However, both smartphones deliver impressive battery life. With mixed usage, I could get around 7.5 hours of screen time with the A35.
The A55 was even better thanks to a newer and more efficient processor, stretching the screen time to around 8.5 hours.&nbsp;

Ok, so the A35 starts at ₹30,999 in India, while the A55 starts at ₹39,999.
If I had to buy one of these smartphones, I&rsquo;d gravitate towards the A35. It does miss out on a few features compared to the A55, but still offers a mostly comparable performance while being more affordable.
Ultimately, choosing these A-series phones boils down to your priorities.
If a premium build and extended software support are paramount, both A35 and A55 are worth considering.&nbsp;
However, if you're open to exploring other brands, the ₹40,000 segment offers a wider range of specialised smartphones.
So, take your time, research your options, and choose the phone that best aligns with your needs.

The Oppo F25 Pro 5G price in India kicks off at Rs 23,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the beefier 256GB storage option will set you back Rs 28,999.

Oppo has been nailing it with standout designs and colour choices for a few years now, and the F25 Pro keeps that streak alive. It rolls out in two striking shades: Lava Red and Ocean Blue. &nbsp;
We've got our hands on the red one and it's like a mix of black and burgundy. It changes its colour depending on how you hold it.
It also has this smooth matte finish while the camera module is glossy. They've also tucked three cameras and a flashlight into the module, all neat and tidy.
The flat frame with its rounded corners not only looks good but also makes the phone easier to hold onto, giving you a bit more grip when you're using it.
Despite its robust appearance, the Oppo F25 Pro is surprisingly lightweight at 177 grams and very sleek at just 7.54mm. It's also got an IP65 rating, so it can handle some splashes of water. &nbsp;
The bad news is that it's only got one speaker, and that's a bit disappointing because stereo speakers are common at this price point. &nbsp;
<h3>Oppo F25 Pro 5G Display&nbsp;</h3>
The Oppo F25 Pro 5G has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen bezels are slim and mostly uniform, so from the front, the F25 Pro looks like a very premium device.
Plus, it's a flat display, which is great for dodging those annoying accidental touches you get with curved screens. The screen itself is vivid, and great to watch stuff on, especially with its HDR10+ certification.
We didn't face much trouble using the screen outdoors as it offers decent brightness levels of 900 nits outdoors and 1100 nits for HDR content.&nbsp;
<h3>Oppo F25 Pro 5G Camera Performance</h3>
The Oppo F25 Pro gets a triple camera setup on the back which includes a 64MP main camera, with an OV64B sensor that&rsquo;s pretty large at 1/2'' .
It&rsquo;s complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera for those expansive shots and a 2MP macro camera. Honestly, it&rsquo;s high time we moved past these 2MP macro cameras on smartphones.
They&rsquo;re fun for up-close shots, sure, but at 2MP, you&rsquo;re not really getting the sharpest images. The other cameras, though, really pull their weight, especially when you&rsquo;ve got good light.
They snap some pretty impressive photos but nightme photos lack detail. Please watch the video to see camera samples.
Up front, there's a 32MP sensor, knocking out some pretty good selfies. They tend to smooth things over a bit, but a few adjustments in the settings can fix that up. It's also good to see that both the front and rear cameras let you shoot 4K at 30FPS.

Alright, let&rsquo;s dive into what really matters &ndash; how does the F25 Pro 5G actually perform? It&rsquo;s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, which, yeah, is a mid-range chip.
So, I wasn&rsquo;t expecting it to blow my mind but in my testing I found that it really held its own. Day-to-day stuff was a breeze for this phone. Flipping between apps, scrolling through the web, a bit of photo editing &ndash; it was all buttery smooth.
It can also handle casual games, no problem, and it even kept up with the more intense stuff like Call of Duty Mobile. Sure, it got a bit choppy with the frames here and there, but nothing that made me want to throw it out the window.
Just a heads-up, though &ndash; if you&rsquo;re the type to marathon those graphic-heavy games, the F25 Pro does get a bit warm. Nothing too crazy, but definitely noticeable.
Now, the phone comes in a singe 8GB RAM variant but you do get two storage options to choose from - 128GB or 256GB. You can enhance that further up to 2TB via micro SD card expansion.&nbsp;
As for the software, the F25 Pro runs ColorOS 14 on top of Android 14. &nbsp;It offers a lot of customization that's genuinely fun to dive into.
I especially like the Always-on Display options &ndash; they let you personalize your phone with a bunch of cool themes and wallpapers, making it feel uniquely yours.
On the flipside, ColorOS does come with its fair share of extra apps right out of the box. Some of them you might never click on, but the good news is you can ditch most of them without too much hassle.

&nbsp;Now, for those relying on the F25 Pro as their daily driver, a solid battery life is essential, and that's precisely what Oppo delivers.
With a hefty 5,000mAh battery tucked inside, the F25 Pro promises to keep you powered well beyond a day on a single charge, stretching even further for light users.
The cherry on top is the included 67W fast charger, which rockets the battery from zero to full in roughly 45 minutes.&nbsp;

Vivo's V-series just got a serious upgrade with the arrival of the V30 Pro. It brings the highly acclaimed Zeiss colour science from the flagship X100 series down to a more affordable price point.
But, can it truly replicate the flagship experience?&nbsp;
<h3>Vivo V30 Pro Camera Review</h3>
The Vivo V30 Pro has four 50MP camera sensors. Out of these, three are situated at the back, a main, ultrawide and 2x telephoto. The front camera is also 50MP.
Do note that there is no T* anti-glare coating on the V30 Pro like that on the X100 series.&nbsp;
The Zeiss colour science is available with the Natural colour profile in the camera app, so that&rsquo;s what I have used to gauge the camera performance.

Since portraits are the highlight of this camera system. &nbsp;let&rsquo;s focus on the 50mm 2x telephoto lens first.
The level of detail captured by this sensor in daylight is extremely impressive. However, even with portraits, there is no oversharpening and the skin tones are well represented.
Low-light portraits benefit from two exclusives. The first is the Zeiss portrait filters which add distinct light flares to your shots. The second is the bigger square-shaped Aura light.&nbsp;
It automatically adjusts to lighting conditions. It gets brighter for distant subjects and softer for close-ups. It even adapts to warm or cool ambient light by changing its colour temperature.&nbsp;
The Aura Light properly exposes your face without ruining the ambience of the scene, and it is a smart piece of engineering.
The main IMX920 sensor is also an impressive performer. It captures a lot of detail and gets the contrast right. However, I would have liked a slightly superior dynamic range.&nbsp;
Low-light photos have well-contained highlights and are devoid of noise.
You can shoot well-detailed videos with the main sensor, but for some strange reason, stabilisation does not work at 4K 60 fps.
Also, you only get manual controls for photos and not videos. A missed opportunity on a camera-focused smartphone.
Moving on to the ultrawide camera, it works well white taking outdoor shots in sunlight.
But, the photos are soft around the corners, and the dynamic range is not very impressive. On the flip side, you can also use this sensor to take some high-quality macro shots.
The selfie camera impresses with its neutral skin tones and impressive dynamic range. You can also use Zeiss portrait effects on selfie portraits as well.&nbsp;
This phone also allows you to take 4K 60fps videos with the front camera.
<h3>Vivo V30 Pro Design &amp; Utility</h3>
While overall, the V30 Pro retains the curvy and slim aesthetic of its predecessors, there are a few very interesting new things here.
For starters, it is just 7.45mm thick despite having a large 5,000mAh battery. Now that&rsquo;s quite a significant design feat. It also weighs just 188g which adds to its great in-hand feel.
Then, this new Zeiss-branded camera island also deserves a mention. Unlike many 2024 smartphones which have oversized camera cutouts for visual impact, the V30 Pro takes a rather subtle approach. In fact, if you&rsquo;re old enough to remember, it looks a bit like the Pixel 4.&nbsp;
Below the camera island is an equally sized housing for the flash and the bigger Aura light.
This colourway on our review dice is called Andaman Blue, and it has these nice 3D particles inspired by ocean waves from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.&nbsp;
As for the construction, the frame of this device remains constructed out of plastic, and that might not go well with everyone. The back panel is glass, but it does not get Schott Xensation Alpha protection like the display does.
The V30 Pro also boats an optical fingerprint rear which worked fast and accurately in my experience.
It also gets an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, although it is fair to expect a more robust rating on an upper midrange smartphone in 2024.
Unfortunately, the V30 Pro sticks with a single, bottom-firing speaker, once again forgoing a stereo setup.
The reason, Vivo claims, is that its average customer is more concerned with the loudness and clarity of the speaker than stereo sound.&nbsp;
<h3>Vivo V30 Pro Display</h3>
The Vivo V30 Pro boasts a premium 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K. It offers 10-bit colour depth, HDR10+, and a refresh rate of 120Hz.&nbsp;
A key area of improvement over the V29 Pro is the brightness. This display has a local high brightness of an impressive 1200 nits, so it is easily usable on a bright sunny day. Its peak brightness while viewing HDR content reaches up to 2,800 nits.&nbsp;
<h3>Vivo V30 Pro Performance &amp; Software</h3>
This is the third time that Vivo is using the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset on this smartphone series - the V29 Pro and V27 Pro also had the same chip.
That&rsquo;s not a bad thing if you ask me. This is a camera-centric smartphone, so the latest cutting-edge processor isn&rsquo;t something you should be looking for here.
Also, the Dimensity 8200 remains a very potent SoC despite its age, and an Antutu score of 9.7 lakh proves that.
Still, do not buy this smartphone for prolonged gaming sessions, since you can get more powerful hardware for a similar price.
Vivo has included a decently sized 3002mm&sup2; vapour chamber on this smartphone, but that&rsquo;s more for keeping it cool during long filming sessions.
On the software front, things remain familiar. Funtouch OS 14 offers a user interface that, despite some quirks, easily grows on you.
The quirks include a fair amount of system app notifications and a handful of pre-installed apps. Thankfully, all of these can be disabled.
Overall, UI performance and fluidity on the V30 Pro are quite good. The only minor gripe is the processing time for Zeiss portraits, which can take a bit longer than you might expect.
The V30 Pro offers up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage options. However, this higher-spec variant carries a ₹5,000 premium over the base 8/256GB variant, which is pretty hard to justify.
<h3>Vivo V30 Pro Battery life</h3>
The 5,000mAh battery on this smartphone is a decent jump from its predecessors.
And since the Dimensity 8200 is an efficient chipset, what you get here is solid battery endurance. You can expect around 8 hours of screen time with mixed usage.
The V30 Pro supports 80W fast charging and comes bundled with a compatible adaptor as well. You can fully charge it from 0 in around 40 minutes.
But, it is completely reasonable to expect 120W charging on this smartphone since the cheaper iQOO Neo 9 Pro supports it.
<h3>Vivo V30 Pro Review</h3>
The Vivo V30 Pro starts at ₹41,999 in India, which will raise some eyebrows.&nbsp;
Look, Vivo surely knows what value-for-money is. Its flagship X100 series offers pretty great value for the kind of kit on offer.
Not just that, Vivo&rsquo;s sub-brand iQOO has consistently been spinning some crazy value-for-money smartphones.
So, I was expecting Vivo to be a little more aggressive with the V30 Pro&rsquo;s pricing.
However, since this is primarily an offline market smartphone, it should not be hard to get a good deal on it at your local phone shop.&nbsp;
Ultimately, this is the best camera phone for photography in the ₹45,000 segment. If that&rsquo;s what you want, the V30 Pro is worth a serious look.

Let me be real with you: the first OnePlus Watch didn&rsquo;t quite hit the sweet spot.
In a world brimming with top-notch Android-friendly smartwatches, OnePlus&rsquo;s initial foray felt a bit off-target.&nbsp;
But, I'll give credit where credit is due - OnePlus didn&rsquo;t just sit back; they went back to the drawing board and came back with this, the OnePlus Watch 2.&nbsp;
Priced at ₹24,999, it's a way better device that&rsquo;s leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor.
And for Android phone users, this is the perfect companion smartwatch you've been holding out for, boasting features you won't see on any other mainstream Wear OS smartwatch out there.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2 Design</h3>
The Watch 2 adopts a classic round dial aesthetic. The design includes a peculiar handle-like structure on the right side, which gives it a bit of a distinct identity.
Also placed on the right are two buttons, with the bottom one being flat and the top one resembling a traditional watch crown.
The stainless steel construction of the OnePlus Watch 2 exudes a premium feel. Our test unit here is an understated full black, but there&rsquo;s a cool silver-green colour option for looking for more character.
OnePlus has decided to launch the Watch 2 in just a single 46mm size. This, in addition to the watch&rsquo;s higher-than-average thickness, might not be ideal for users with slender wrists.&nbsp;
I really hope OnePlus launches a smaller 40/42mm option in the future to expand the Watch 2&rsquo;s appeal.
On the plus side, the Watch 2 boasts a comfortable rubber strap that uses standard 22mm lugs. This will allow for easy customisation with third-party straps.&nbsp;
And it's seriously durable, too, boasting IP68 and 5ATM water resistance ratings, so feel free to dive in for a swim. It even meets the rugged MIL-STD-810H American military standard, which means it's ready for just about anything you throw at it.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2 Connectivity</h3>
The Watch 2 connects to your smartphone via the O Health app, and the setup process is pretty straightforward.
OnePlus is also not reserving any mainstream feature just for its ecosystem, so you can seamlessly use this Watch with any Android smartphone.
But, there&rsquo;s no iPhone support since the O Health app is not available on the Apple App Store.&nbsp;
In addition to Bluetooth and Wifi, The Watch 2 also has NFC. But, it's not useful as of now because popular payment apps like Google Pay do not have a Wear OS app here in India.
Finally, the absence of a dedicated LTE variant on this smartwatch might put a few buyers off.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2 Display</h3>
The 1.43-inch AMOLED display on this watch offers a resolution of 466 x 466 and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, making it easily readable even outdoors.&nbsp;
It's protected by a sapphire crystal glass, which adds the much-required scratch resistance.&nbsp;
The display bezel is slightly on the thicker side. Although it will not be noticeable if you primarily use darker watch faces.
What&rsquo;s awesome is the always-on option. This feature maintains the watch face's design, ensuring you are not wearing a lifeless black screen when the watch is not in use.

There has been a 3 year gap between the original OnePlus Watch and this Watch 2. But, it looks like OnePlus has been diligently working on the perfect smartwatch formula.&nbsp;
The result is a rather ingenious solution: dual chips and dual operating systems.&nbsp;
While the Watch 2 is a primarily a Wear OS smartwatch, it also simultaneously runs OnePlus&rsquo; proprietary RTOS. So, it seamlessly switches between the two depending on the task at hand.&nbsp;
This transition is aided by two chipsets: Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 for Wear OS, and BES2700 for RTOS.&nbsp;
Most background operations, such as connectivity, sleep and heart rate monitoring, and fitness tracking, are managed by RTOS.
However, engaging with Wear OS-specific functionalities and apps triggers the activation of the W5 chipset.
This smart synergy between the two systems results in stellar battery life, which I will talk about in a while.
Also, the Watch 2 comes with 2GB of RAM which helps its interface run smoothly. The UI is a bit different from that of the Galaxy Watch 6, but WearOS users will feel right at home here.
The navigation is aided by the two buttons on the right side. The top crown works as a home button and app drawer.
But, even though this crown rotates, it does absolutely nothing, which is a bummer considering it would have made the UI more intuitive.&nbsp;
However, the ability to customise these buttons is excellent. Users can assign different actions to a double press and long press of the crown, and the lower button also supports customisation for a single press.
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2 Health &amp; Fitness Tracking</h3>
The health and fitness suite of this smartwatch is quite robust. It has all the basics covered like heart rate monitoring with high/low heart rate warning, sleep tracking, SPO2 monitoring, and stress monitoring as well.&nbsp;
I cross-checked these readings with another smartwatch, and the readings were consistent across both.
However, the OnePlus Watch 2 does skip out on a few essentials you'd anticipate in a watch at this price point, such as fall detection and period tracking.&nbsp;
Additionally, features like blood pressure and ECG monitoring, which were recently added to the Galaxy Watch 6 through an update, haven't made their way onto this model.
On the fitness side, you get 100+ sports modes with automatic recognition for things like running, cycling, and swimming.
The Watch 2 also has dual-band GPS support to enhance its utility for outdoor fitness enthusiasts.
To test the watch's GPS, I took a brisk walk outside. The route tracking was spot-on!
<h3>OnePlus Watch 2 Battery Life</h3>
With its 500mAh battery, the OnePlus Watch 2 has the best battery life I&rsquo;ve ever seen on a smartwatch.&nbsp;
In "Smart Mode," which switches between Wear OS and RTOS, OnePlus estimates the Watch 2 can last up to 100 hours on a single charge. It's important to note that this excludes the always-on display and assumes 30 minutes of GPS activity.
But during my testing, I kept the continuous heart rate monitoring and the always-on display enabled, and still I charged this watch only once in about three days. Mind blown!
But, there is a caveat here. The smart switch to RTOS for the always-on display feature is limited to the default watch faces, which, to be honest, aren't that eye-catching.&nbsp;
Opting for any third-party watch face deactivates this smart switch feature and can take a toll on the battery life.
Alternatively, activating Power Saver mode turns off Wear OS and fully switches to RTOS, extending the battery life to an impressive 12 days, as claimed.
The watch charges with a handy magnetic puck that has a detachable cable for better portability.
The fast VOOC charging tech allows the Watch to fully charge in under an hour without needing a specific OnePlus adapter.

The OnePlus Watch 2 emerges as the best Wear OS smartwatch to buy in 2024. It has a high-quality build, a great UI, and an outstanding battery life.
At ₹24,999, it undercuts both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Pixel Watch 2 in India. It offers good value, considering its array of features and performance.&nbsp;
However, its lack of LTE and a smaller variant might disappoint some prospective buyers.
Despite these drawbacks, its exceptional battery life alone may be enough to sway potential buyers looking for a reliable and long-lasting smartwatch.

Some of this stuff you can disable, but you can't completely ditch it.&nbsp;
On the upside, Realme UI 5.0 brings some neat tricks like File Dock for easy drag-and-drop file sharing, Smart image matting to cut subjects out of photos easily, and Phonelink to sync up with your Windows PC for sharing files, messages, notifications, and even handling phone calls.
Realme is also promising 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security patches, which is standard for this segment.&nbsp;

Both the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ pack a 5,000mAh battery alongside 67W SUPERVOOC charging, a combination that's as practical as it is powerful. In my testing, I was able to juice up both devices from empty to full in just under 45 minutes. This quick turnaround is incredibly convenient, allowing for a quick charge while you're getting ready in the morning, ensuring the phone is fully powered by the time you're ready to head out.
Both phones easily lasted through a day of normal use. On the Realme 12 Pro, I got about 6 hours of screen-on time, while the 12 Pro+ pushed that to around 7 hours, thanks to its more efficient processor.
But, if you're into gaming or tend to use your phone heavily, you might find yourself needing a quick boost before the day's out.&nbsp;

Packed with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a flagship-grade camera sensor, it&rsquo;s hitting the shelves at a surprisingly affordable ₹35,999.
That sure sounds promising on paper, but how does it stack up in the real world? Let&rsquo;s dive in and see if it lives up to the hype.
<h3>iQOO Neo 9 Pro Design</h3>
Aesthetically, the Neo 9 Pro is a complete departure form the Neo 7 Pro. This is the first time iQOO has launched a dual tone colour in India, and boy, oh boy, is it impossible to miss!
This dual-tone look mixes red with what&rsquo;s supposed to be off-white, but honestly, it feels more light grey to me, so let&rsquo;s just go with that.
Plus, it&rsquo;s got this textured vegan leather back which means you don&rsquo;t have to worry about fingerprint smudges. And the texture isn&rsquo;t the same for both colors, giving each a distinct vibe.
The red is quite vivid and it extends to the frame of the phone as well.
On the grey side, you'll find two large, vertically stacked camera lenses. Below that is some quirky text - a classic touch from iQOO and Vivo.
Given its lighter hue, the grey area is more susceptible to dirt and stains. So, it will need extra maintenance if you use this phone without a case.
A clear case, by the way, comes bundled.
If this flamboyant red colour is not a cup of your tea, then iQOO also offers a shimmery black that&rsquo;s much easier on the eye.
The phone has a flat, plastic frame and maintains a slim profile at 7.99mm, even with its sizable battery, which we'll talk about later.
<h3>iQOO Neo 9 Pro Display &amp; Utility</h3>
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro&rsquo;s promise of flagship hardware at a reasonable price starts with its display.&nbsp; This display is lifted off the iQOO 12, which means that what you get is a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Keep in mind that the 144Hz refresh rate is limited to specific games and benchmarks. For everything else, it tops out at 120Hz, still offering a silky smooth scrolling experience.
Furthermore, screen has a resolution of 1.5K and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. This ensures that viewing HDR content on this smartphone is a great experience. And it is further aided by its loud stereo speaker setup.
Also, the Neo 9 Pro&rsquo;s sunlight legibility is excellent.
Moving on, the optical fingerprint reader on this device worked flawlessly in my experience. Like most BBK smartphones, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro also retains an IR blaster which some of you might find really useful for controlling your smart devices at home.
iQOO has also included a basic IP54 dust and water resistance on this smartphone, so it should easily handle the odd splashes of water.
<h3>iQOO Neo 9 Pro Performance &amp; Software</h3>
As of now, the Neo 9 Pro is India&rsquo;s most affordable smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Even in 2024, this is one beast of a chipset, and its Antutu score is a testament to its excellent performance.&nbsp;Please watch the video to see the Antutu score.
In over 90% use cases, users will not notice any difference between the 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3. But iQOO takes it a notch higher by combining its proprietary Q1 gaming chip with this processor.
Q1 is the same chip that&rsquo;s found on the flagship iQOO 12, and it helps with frame rate interpolation on popular games.
So, you can play Genshin Impact at 144fps as well as at a refresh rate of 144Hz simultaneously.&nbsp; The iQOO "ultra game mode" also comes included, offering enhanced motion control features for popular games such as Call of Duty, providing more precise control when locating enemies.
The phone also boasts a hefty 6k vapor cooling system, featuring a 6043 mm&sup2; vapor chamber &mdash; the biggest in any iQOO phone to date.
During my gaming sessions, the back of the phone managed to stay cool for the most part, although the frame did start to get warm quite quickly.
Additionally, iQOO is providing up to 256GB of high-end UFS 4.0 storage and up to 12GB RAM on this smartphone, but there&rsquo;s also a 8GB and 128GB version which will only be available to purchase from March 21st.
Moving on to the software, you get Vivo&rsquo;s Funtouch OS 14 here that&rsquo;s built on top of Android 14.
Funtouch OS is a fast and feature-rich software. However, it is not the cleanest software around. The bloatware and system app notifications, while lesser than before, are still aplenty.
While you can delete and disable most of these annoyances, you will have to dedicate some time to clean the software up.
iQOO is also promising 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates on this smartphone, which is the segment standard.
<h3>iQOO Neo 9 Pro Camera Review</h3>
The Neo 9 Pro has only two rear cameras while most phones offer three. But iQOO has only deleted the 2MP macro sensor, so that should not be an issue.
What you get here are two functional cameras: a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide.
My expectations were high from the main camera since it uses the same Sony IMX920 sensor as the flagship Vivo X100.

This camera impresses quite a lot. It takes contrasty photos with great detail and dynamic range. Even portrait mode photos have excellent edge detection and convincing bokeh.
Night mode is also quite good thanks to iQOO&rsquo;s super night vision that brings out the detail and controls highlights pretty well.
You also get 3 colour profiles like other high-end Vivo and iQOO smartphones: Vivid, Textured, and Natural.
I found Vivid to be the best one because it gives a mild saturation boost without going overboard.
The camera also takes impressively stable videos, but I wish that the noise in these was better controlled.
You can also shoot 8K videos with the main camera which is a first on an upper midrange device. The 8MP ultrawide is definitely less impressive than the main sensor, but as long as you give it enough light, it will yield good results.
The 16MP front camera on this smartphone produces accurate skin tones and should keep selfie takers happy.
<h3>iQOO Neo 9 Pro Battery Life</h3>
The 5,160mAh battery on the Neo 9 Pro, combined with its efficient chipset and LTPO display, ensures solid endurance.
I could easily average over 9 hours of screen time with mixed use which included taking calls, watching videos, and playing games.
As before, you get a super impressive 120W fast charger bundled with this smartphone. It can fully charge it in under half an hour.
Trust me, once you are used to such crazy charging speeds, there is no going back.
<h3>iQOO Neo 9 Pro Review</h3>
The iQOO Neo 9 Pro is my default recommendation to anyone looking for a smartphone in the sub-₹40,000 price segment.
It offers top-tier performance, a good main camera, and super-fast charging. On the flip side, Funtouch OS can definitely use some decluttering.
But still, the overall value proposition makes the Neo 9 Pro a standout choice in its price range.

I'm also a big fan of this 'cool blue' colour. Its reflective glass back not only looks great but also offers a firmer grip compared to the OnePlus 12's matte exterior, though it's a bit of a magnet for fingerprints.
Now, OnePlus has mixed things up a bit by switching the placement of the volume buttons and alert slider on both the OnePlus 12 and 12R, placing the volume buttons on the right edge alongside the power button, and moving the alert slider to the left.
This might require a bit of getting used to for existing users, but I find this new layout more intuitive and easier to navigate. &nbsp;At the bottom of the phone, you'll find a USB Type-C port and the speaker grille.
This, along with a second speaker at the top, provides a pretty solid stereo sound experience. Additionally, there's an IR blaster on the top, allowing you to control various smart devices around your home.
Upfront, the 12R has a curved display, framed by impressively thin bezels, and it's shielded by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It also comes with a pre-applied screen guard, though its quality isn't the highest, and I'd suggest opting for a tempered glass protector instead.&nbsp;
As for water resistance, the OnePlus 12's IP65 rating already drew some criticism, and the 12R goes a bit lower to IP64. This means it can handle a splash or two but it lags behind phones like the Pixel 7a and Galaxy A54, which come with stronger IP67 ratings.
<h3>OnePlus 12R Display&nbsp;</h3>
The OnePlus 12R sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED ProXDR display, featuring a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 2780 x 1264 pixels resolution. That's slightly smaller and less resolution-heavy than the OnePlus 12, but the 12R stands out by being one of the first smartphones to incorporate the latest LTPO 4 technology.
Basically, &nbsp;the screen on this phone offers even more dynamic refresh rate adjustments, switching between 60, 72, or 90Hz and ramping up to 120Hz for rapid scrolling while also dropping as low as 1Hz for enhanced battery efficiency.
It&rsquo;s a bit odd why the more expensive OnePlus 12 didn't receive LTPO 4 while the 12R did, but I guess that's one of the unique perks of opting for the OnePlus 12R.
Beyond the advanced LTPO capabilities, the display itself is sharp as heck, boasting excellent colours and great viewing angles. It also gets Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ credentials, so it's perfect for enjoying content on streaming platforms.
It even matches the OnePlus 12 with a crazy high peak brightness of 4500 nits, ensuring the screen is more than bright enough for clear visibility even in bright daylight&hellip;
OnePlus has also introduced a feature they're calling 'Aqua Touch,' aimed at making the screen less susceptible to interruptions caused by raindrops.
The idea is that you'd be able to use the phone's display smoothly, even when it's wet, avoiding any accidental touches. However, in my experience, it didn't perform as seamlessly as OnePlus suggested. Hence, I'd advise not to depend too much on this feature

<h3>OnePlus 12R Camera</h3>
The OnePlus 12R gets a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and unfortunately, a 2MP macro camera instead of a dedicated telephoto lens.
The main camera does the bulk of the work, capturing appealing shots in good lighting conditions. Colours are vibrant, details are sharp and exposure is well balanced in most of the photos I took.
There&rsquo;s a fair amount of natural depth of field without the portrait mode, but even when you turn it on, you can get some really nice images with accurate edge detection. Even in low-light situations, the main camera holds its own, delivering generally crisp details and minimal image noise.
The 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens gets the job done, and there&rsquo;s not a huge difference in color rendition between it and the main lens, but the details at the edges of the frame can appear a bit soft.
It&rsquo;s a shame that there&rsquo;s no telephoto lens onboard, especially since even cheaper phones are offering one these days. Instead, the camera app provides toggles for 2x and 5x zoom levels, achieved by digitally cropping into the image from the main lens. The 2x zoom holds up decently well, thanks to the 50-megapixel resolution providing ample room for cropping, but things can get a bit fuzzy at 5x zoom.
When shooting videos with the rear camera, the 12R lets you record in 4K at 60fps. The quality is pretty good, though it won't blow you away. I noticed that the videos look a bit overexposed and the dynamic range isn't as wide as some might hope.
The electronic image stabilization could be stronger too, so expect a slight shake when walking. However, the detail in the videos is sharp, and noise is hardly an issue. All in all, it does a decent job for everyday video capture.
The front camera on the OnePlus 12R packs a 16MP sensor, and when you're out and about in good light, it does a pretty solid job. HDR can be a bit aggressive, but you end up with pics that are sharp and full of detail.
When it comes to video, the front camera has EIS to keep things smooth, letting you film up to 1080p at 30fps. It's decent, but having the option to shoot in 4K would've been a welcome addition, especially for the price.
<h3>OnePlus 12R Specifications &amp; Performance</h3>
The OnePlus 12R runs on the older Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, but it's still plenty powerful. It scores high on benchmark scores and performs even better in day-to-day usage.
App switching is seamless, multitasking is a breeze, and it handles graphic-heavy games like Genshin Impact as well as any phone in the 40,000 Rupees price segment. I also didn't notice any overheating issues during gaming; the phone's back warmed up just a bit, but nothing alarming, indicating efficient heat management.
This comes down to a couple of key reasons: first, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset does an excellent job at keeping things cool. Second, there's this new VC Cooling System that uses a dual-vapor chamber design to help the phone stay at a comfortable temperature, even when you're gaming for long stretches.
Now, I've been doing all my testing on the 16GB RAM and 256GB storage model but I'd wager that even the 8GB RAM version performs just as good in its price range.&nbsp;
That being said, I do have to point out something important. When OnePlus first launched the 12R, they said the 256GB model would have the super fast UFS 4.0 storage. The website even said the same thing. Turns out, that&rsquo;s not actually the case .
OnePlus has actually apologised for the miscommunication, and now they are saying that both the 128GB and 256GB versions are just getting UFS 3.1 storage instead. So, if you were looking forward to snagging the OnePlus 12R for those speedy storage speeds, this might be a bit of a dissapointment.
<h3>&nbsp;OnePlus 12R Software&nbsp;</h3>
The OnePlus 12R features the same OxygenOS built on Android 14 as the OnePlus 12. Honestly, ever since OnePlus merged with Oppo, it's no longer my preferred Android interface, but it's still relatively clean and easy to navigate.
Also, just like the OnePlus 12, the 12R doesn&rsquo;t come with all those fancy AI features that Google and Samsung are heavily emphasising on their premium smartphones. But, that should change soon as OnePlus has already started to roll out some AI features in China.&nbsp;
For now, though, in India and most other places, &nbsp;this device is sticking to the basics &ndash; it&rsquo;s just a &nbsp;regular smartphone, and &nbsp;that&rsquo;s not necessarily a bad thing. The biggest letdown with OxygenOS comes from OnePlus&rsquo;s limited software support.
The 12R is on the schedule for just three years of OS updates and four years of security patches, taking it up to Android 17 and lasting until 2028. That&rsquo;s dwarfed by Google and Samsung&rsquo;s commitment to seven years of OS updates for their latest flagships, a policy rumored to be adopted by the upcoming Pixel 8a as well.&nbsp;
<h3>&nbsp;OnePlus 12R Battery Life</h3>
The OnePlus 12R shines in the battery department, boasting a hefty 5,500 mAh battery&mdash;that's 100mAh more than the OnePlus 12.&nbsp; This bump in capacity seems to counterbalance the slightly less efficient Snapdragon Gen 2 chip, but it's also a notable 10% increase over the OnePlus 11's battery size.&nbsp;
In practice, this meant the phone easily powered through more than a day on a single charge for me. Adding to its strengths, the OnePlus 12R comes with the well-known SuperVOOC charging technology. With the included 100W charger, you're able to fully charge the phone in just under 30 minutes.
What you won't find on the 12R, though, is wireless charging&mdash;a feature that returned with the OnePlus 12 this year. Sure, more features are always better, but if dropping wireless charging was necessary to keep the price down &mdash; and squeeze in an extra 500mAh of battery life &mdash; I'm cool with that compromise.
<h3>OnePlus 12R Review Verdict</h3>
The OnePlus 12R flagship phone offers a compelling package, offering a lot of bang for your buck without costing as much as the flagship OnePlus 12. It's got enough power under the hood for most folks, the battery keeps going strong, it charges super quick, and the camera is totally fine for everyday shots.
Just keep in mind that if you&rsquo;re eyeing the full suite of features like the latest processor, wireless charging, and extended software support, you might want to lean towards the OnePlus 12.
But, if those extras aren&rsquo;t deal-breakers and you&rsquo;re after a reliable Android phone that&rsquo;s kind to your budget, the OnePlus 12R is definitely worth a look.

Usually, when Samsung launches its new Galaxy S smartphones, it is the Ultra that steals the spotlight with its premium features.
But, there&rsquo;s an interesting twist this year because the standard S24 and S24+ are also drawing a lot of attention.
The reason lies in one word: Exynos.
Yes, folks, hardware fragmentation is back on Samsung flagships, with the S24 and S24+ getting Exynos power yet again.
Will the Exynos chip hold back the S24 and S24+? Or could it offer a unique edge? Let's jump in and see what the return of Exynos means.
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Performance: Exynos 2400 Heating Test</h3>
Samsung&rsquo;s new Exynos 2400 found on the S24 and S24+ is a 4nm chip with a deca-core CPU and an AMD architecture-based Xclipse 940 GPU.
So, how does it compare to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3?&nbsp;

I did a 10-minute 8K video recording test on the S24 Plus and the Snapdragon-powered Ultra to see if they heat up. To my surprise, the Plus actually remained slightly cooler towards the end.
Then, I put both the smartphones through two GPU-heavy stress tests one after the other.
The Exynos performed better in the Solar Bay ray tracing stress test. But, it experienced a noticeable performance drop and increased temperature during the Wildlife Extreme Stress test that immediately followed.
Do note that the Ultra has a bigger vapour chamber, so it is designed to be more thermally efficient.
Hopefully this gave you a rough idea of what to expect when you push the Exynos 2400 to its limits.
The chip can handle graphic-intensive games without any issues, but, if you're really into gaming and push your phone to the limit, you might want to check out phones with more advanced cooling solutions.
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Design</h3>
Samsung set a signature style for its Galaxy phones in 2023, and it looks like that design is sticking around for 2024.
At first glance, these smartphones look exactly like their predecessors. But if you take a closer look, you'll spot some subtle tweaks that make them stand out.
The frame, for instance, has undergone a transformation to a more refined matte finish, moving away from the previous gloss. It is also flatter than before, and that&rsquo;s something which will divide opinions.
The design evolution extends to the front of the devices, where the bezels have been reduced. The S24 models also finally achieve symmetry around all edges.
This refinement has allowed for an increase in display size by 0.1-inch across both models without compromising the form factor.
The regular S24 remains the only compact high-end Android smartphone on sale in india. Its accessibility and ergonomics are unmatched, making it a joy to use.&nbsp;
The S24+, on the other hand, is more of a standard-sized Android smartphone.&nbsp;
An important thing to note is that only the Ultra model is treated to a titanium frame, while the S24 and S24+ stick with the armoured aluminium of their predecessors.
Honestly, a more unified design and construction approach for all S24 models would have been appreciated.
It is also a missed opportunity by Samsung not to adopt the boxier aesthetic of the Ultra for the S24 and S24+, to distinguish them better from the lower-end Galaxy smartphones.
As for the colour options, this Cobalt Violet is the first time a Samsung purple has really caught my eye. It looks quite nice, and this other ivory-white colour is good too, except Samsung calls it Amber Yellow for some reason.
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Display &amp; Utility</h3>
As previously stated, the displays on these phones have gotten a slight bump in size, with the S24 sporting a 6.2-inch AMOLED screen and the Plus version stretching to 6.7 inches.
Both displays now feature LTPO tech for better power management. They&rsquo;re also brighter than before, with a peak brightness of 2600 nits achievable while watching HDR content. The sunlight legibility is excellent too.&nbsp;
The S24+ now boasts a QHD+ resolution, but it is set to FHD+ by default. The smaller S24 peaks at FHD+.
Both phones have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which is accurate and super fast. Do note that it will not work with a tempered screen protector.
You&rsquo;d also find stereo speakers on these smartphones and the audio quality is loud with good bass, and great vocal clarity.
The larger S24+ model manages to squeeze out a bit more volume, but don't underestimate the smaller S24 &mdash; it can still pump out some incredible sound.
Both smartphones get UFS 4.0 storage as standard and the base variant on both models is 256GB now.
As before, the smartphones come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Additionally, both models have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection at the front and back, unlike the Ultra which comes with the latest Gorilla Glass Armour.&nbsp;
The useful anti-reflective display coating from the Ultra is not present on these phones either.&nbsp;
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Camera Review</h3>
The S24 and S24+ have basically the same camera sensors as the S23: a 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom.
However, this time around, Samsung has made certain changes to its post processing algorithms, and it gives mixed results.

For instance, indoor shots tend to lean towards cooler tones. The image on the left is much more accurate.
Other than that, colours during daytime as a whole are now less saturated than before, well, except for the sky, which is always much bluer than it should be.
The main camera still excels in dynamic range, and produces decent, if not class leading detail.
Low light shots are bright with noise well contained.
While photos from the main sensors may no longer best in the segment, it is a different case for videos.&nbsp;
Videos come out to be excellent with great stability, impressive dynamic range, and reliable auto focus. Even low light videos have low noise and no exposure jump issues.&nbsp;
The 12MP ultrawide camera remains quite a capable performer. Its colour science in daylight is quite well matched with that of the main sensor. But, there are variations in colours in indoor shots.
Ultrawide videos are very impressive and stable by secondary sensor standards.
The telephoto sensor, however, is showing its age. It takes good photos in daylight, but its indoor shots are softer than I&rsquo;d like.&nbsp;
So, Samsung has reused the rear camera hardware on these phones for 3 generations now. While it is still very good, it&rsquo;s no longer the best in the segment.
Anyway, the front 12MP camera takes detailed and sharp photos and should keep selfie enthusiasts happy.&nbsp;
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Software</h3>
Samsung&rsquo;s new OneUI 6.1 based on Android 14, debuts with the S24 series.
The update gives the drop-down menu a fresher new look, makes app animations smoother, and allows more customisation on the lock screen and always-on display.&nbsp;
While the interface is feature-rich, it can feel complex due to numerous menus and Samsung's own apps alongside Google's.
Day to day usage on both the smartphones is flagship grade smooth and quick, which is aided by 8GB of standard RAM on the S24 and 12GB on the S24+.
But, Samsung&rsquo;s new Galaxy AI is the star of the show here. It brings some incredibly cool AI features to these smartphones.&nbsp;
For instance, I love Circle to Search because it makes the process of Googling something much faster.&nbsp;
Also, AI baked into Samsung Notes can enhance your productivity significantly. You have other niche but futuristic features like Live Translate for real-time language translation.&nbsp;

But I must mention that Galaxy AI will not remain exclusive to the S24 series as Samsung is planning to bring some of these features to the S23 series very soon.
Also, Samsung is promising 7 major Android updates on the S24 series. So, these two phones will get Android 21, which is quite insane to be honest.
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Battery Life</h3>
The S24 gets a 4,000mAh battery while Plus gets a 4,900mAh cell. Both are beefier than their predecessors due to the larger displays on offer.&nbsp;
In practical terms, the battery life is commendable across both devices. The S24 offers around 7.5 of screen time, while the Plus model extends this to about 9 hours on a mixed-use basis.
The charging speeds for these models aren't particularly groundbreaking, with the Plus maxing out at 45W and the S24 a bit slower at 25W. Wireless charging at 15W also remains the same.
However, since Samsung wants you to use these phones for 7 years, slower charging might help with battery longevity.
<h3>Galaxy S24 &amp; S24 Plus Review</h3>
So, it turns out that Exynos 2400 is actually pretty good this time around and it should not stop most of you from buying the S24 and S24+.
These two smartphones also offer excellent displays, great software, and some handy AI features.&nbsp;
That being said, for those looking for a dedicated camera phone or gaming phone, the market does offer more specialised alternatives.&nbsp;
The S24 Ultra, for example, offers an enhanced telephoto camera. It even includes an S Pen for those who find that tool useful.
The S24 and S24+ are reliable all-rounders made for those who want a premium Android experience but do not want to cross the six-figure price barrier.

This is the Poco X6 5G, the younger sibling of the fantastic Poco X6 Pro we previously reviewed. While it may not match the Pro&rsquo;s power, it shares several key features like the display, camera setup, and charging capabilities. It even comes with a slightly larger 5,100mAh battery.&nbsp;
Of course, it's also cheaper than the X6 Pro with a starting price of 19,999 Rupees, making it a great deal for bargain hunters. There's a lot to talk about, so let&rsquo;s dive into its performance and overall user experience.
<h3>Poco X6 5G: Design &amp; Display</h3>
The Poco X6 boasts a visually appealing design with a premium vibe, especially in the glossy black variant. However, the plastic back is very prone to fingerprints.&nbsp;
I mean it was a proper challenge to shoot this phone without any visible smudges. So yea, do use it with a case if that bothers you. Now, despite being plastic, the build quality impresses, and the phone feels light at 181g, considering its large 6.67-inch display.&nbsp;
One thing to note is the larger-than-usual camera module, which has become a common trait on Poco phones. It may turn heads but it also wobbles quite a bit on a table.&nbsp;
In terms of utility, there's a Type-C charging port, 3.5mm jack, an IR blaster, and a decent-sounding pair of Dolby Atmos tuned speakers. There&rsquo;s also an IP 54 rating for dust and water resistance, so it should be able to handle the odd splashes of rain.&nbsp;
Diving into the Poco X6, I stumbled upon a budget-friendly gem that truly shines in the display department. &nbsp;
It comes with an expansive 6.67-inch 1.5K Flow AMOLED panel with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a dazzling peak brightness of 1800 nits.&nbsp;
You'd be hard-pressed to find a display with these impressive specs in the affordable segment. It&rsquo;s not just fast and responsive; it&rsquo;s a visual delight with vibrant, accurate colours. Plus, Corning&rsquo;s Gorilla Glass Victus adds a layer of protection rarely seen at this price point.&nbsp;
<h3>Poco X6 5G: Cameras&nbsp;</h3>
At the heart of this phone's triple camera setup is a 64 MP main sensor, flanked by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a modest 2MP macro.
The images produced by the main sensor are quite impressive, offering a lot of details and vibrant colours that you wouldn't normally expect in this price segment. However, I did notice an issue with the skin tones being unnaturally whitened, which might be a drawback for some.
The 8MP wide-angle camera does a &nbsp;good enough job during the day, capturing expansive shots with decent clarity. But it's a different story once the sun sets; the performance dips significantly under low light, leaving a lot to be desired.&nbsp;
The Macro lens is mostly there to make up numbers, so don&rsquo;t expect anything spectacular from it.
If you like to shoot videos, then you can record in 4K at 30fps, which is a nice touch for a phone in this budget. The video quality is decent but not groundbreaking. However, thanks to the combination of OIS and EIS, the phone managed to deliver noticeably stable videos
The selfie game is handled by a 16 MP front camera. It's more than adequate for those casual snaps in well-lit environments, but if you're venturing into the night or expecting professional-grade selfies, it might not live up to those expectations.
<h3>Poco X6 5G: Performance and Battery</h3>
After putting this smartphone through the paces with its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, 12GB RAM, and hefty 512GB storage, I've gotta say, it impressed me. I decided to go all out and played Call of Duty for an hour, maxing out the graphics.
Unsurprisingly, the Poco X6 handled it like a champ - smooth gameplay, no lags, and it stayed cool throughout. Geekbench scores were solid, too&mdash;1021 on Single Core and 2976 on Multi-core.
What caught my attention was the CPU's performance under pressure, maintaining 85% capacity without breaking a sweat. So, whether you're into intense gaming or just need a reliable daily driver, this phone's got the power and speed.
Talking about speed, I found the face unlock to be exceptionally fast and effective, even in poorly lit conditions. The in-display fingerprint sensor further complements the phone's security features with its rapid responsiveness.
As for battery life, the 5,100mAh unit coupled with its 67W charger, has proven to be a reliable workhorse. Charging it is incredibly fast; it jumps from 10% to a full 100% in just about 40 minutes.
What's more impressive is how long the battery lasts. It easily powers through more than a day's use without needing a recharge.&nbsp;
Whether I'm streaming videos, scrolling through social media, or making calls, I can count on this phone to keep ticking along nicely.
<h3>Poco X6 5G: Software</h3>
The Poco X6 runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13, which is slightly different from the Pro version that runs on HyperOS and Android 14. The good news is that the X6 is also set to receive HyperOS in a future update.
The not-so-good news is the abundant amount of bloatware pre-installed. It's packed with unneeded apps, and while you can uninstall them, you shouldn&rsquo;t really have to.

This special edition celebrates the collaboration between OnePlus and miHoYo, the developers behind the wildly popular RPG Genshin Impact.
It keeps the core specs of the regular OnePlus 12 &nbsp;but everything else dazzles with the flair of Genshin Impact, specifically themed after the Electro character, Keqing.
However, this special edition smartphone costs slightly more than the regular OnePlus 12R. In this review, we will be checking out if the Genshin Impact makeover justifies the higher price tag.&nbsp;

Now, let&rsquo;s find out if those additional bucks really offer Genshin Impact players something special.&nbsp;

The OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition focuses heavily on the unboxing experience, just as much as the phone's custom design. While the outer box may look a bit worn, the real magic starts as soon as you open it up.
Inside, you'll find much finer packaging that feels soft to the touch, adorned with the collaboration logos.
Open that up, and the first thing that greets you is the phone itself, shining in all its electro-violet splendor. Right beside it, there&rsquo;s a shiny, custom tinplate character badge.
Digging deeper, you&rsquo;ll discover a collectible custom gift box that unfolds to create a display environment for the phone and all the included goodies.
There are chibi metal badges and stickers featuring Keqing&rsquo;s companions, a custom acrylic stand ornament with Keqing holding the special edition OnePlus 12R, and a chibi Keqing acrylic phone stand.

The purple theme extends all the way to the metallic frame surrounding the phone too. On the top frame, the name "Keqing" is engraved in a subtle yet intriguing way.
Infact, It's like a hidden easter egg, only revealing itself when you shine a light and tilt the phone just right. "KEQING" pops up on a nearby surface, like a surprise cameo in a movie.
This level of attention to detail makes you appreciate the craftsmanship behind it all. It just feels like a phone designed for fans, by fans!

The customizations go beyond the physical design. OnePlus has loaded the phone with a special OxygenOS theme.
This includes a custom purple clock widget for the Always-On display, a stunning preloaded Keqing wallpaper, and a whole bunch of redesigned icons that match the theme.&nbsp;
But the real kicker is the custom sounds. Notifications, alarms, ringtones - they're all voiced by Keqing's English voice actress! It's a fun touch that makes using the phone feel like having Keqing by your side.
There are a few other software tweaks here and there, like how the OnePlus logo specially animates when you power on the phone but overall, it's the theme and custom sounds that truly elevate the experience.

We even ran benchmarks to confirm that the Genshin Impact Edition performs just as well as the standard 12R on benchmarks. The real test of course is Genshin Impact itself. And let me tell you, this phone handles the game like a dream.&nbsp;

Living up to their reputation for great value, it&rsquo;s the most budget-friendly option out there rocking the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.&nbsp;
Plus, it&rsquo;s got an impressive 100W fast charging feature that powers up your phone in no time!
So, let&rsquo;s dive into a detailed review of this smartphone.
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 4 Design &amp; Utility</h3>
Aesthetically, the new CE 4 is a departure from its predecessor. It debuts a new design language which the other Nord smartphones are also expected to adopt this year.
The cylindrical camera island is a modern twist on the prominent designs from a few years ago. &nbsp;
This green colour with its marble like texture is also quite interesting and should be liked by many.&nbsp;
However, if this pattern is too garish for you, you can always put on the high-quality bundled cover on the phone which gives it a subtler look. The cover would also hide smudges from the glossy back.
The smartphone is completely constructed out of plastic, which helps curb its weight despite the large 5,500mAh battery under the hood.
The CE4 scores high on practicality as well. It features expandable storage thanks to its hybrid SIM slot, and also comes with an IP54 rating for basic protection against water splashes.&nbsp;
OnePlus has used Panda glass at the front to provide scratch resistance to this phone&rsquo;s display.
Then, there&rsquo;s also an IR blaster to effortlessly control your air conditioner in this summer heat.
To make gaming and content watching better, the smartphone also comes with a loud stereo speaker setup with a dedicated grille for the upper unit.&nbsp;
Another thing to note is that the haptics motor on this smartphone is pretty high-quality for the price. So you get strong and satisfying feedback when you type.
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 4 Display</h3>
The Nord CE 4 comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of FHD+ and a refresh rate of 120Hz.&nbsp;
The display can achieve 1100 nits of peak brightness and 900 nits in high brightness mode. These are not groundbreaking numbers, but practically, you&rsquo;d never have anything to complain about.&nbsp;
The colours and viewing angles of this display are good, and it does have Widevine L1 support, which makes it great for content watching on OTT platforms. Netflix supports HDR as well. &nbsp;
The display also features AquaTouch tech for better touch response when the display is wet, and in my experience it worked well most of the time.
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 4 Performance &amp; Software</h3>
Like I mentioned at the start of my review, the CE 4 is currently the most affordable smartphone with the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.&nbsp;
It achieves an Antutu score of around 8.3 lakh, which puts it at an advantage over the Dimensity 7200 which you find for around the same price.&nbsp;
That makes it a good option for gaming. Call of Duty Mobile, for instance, runs at High + Max graphic settings, and the phone does not get very hot even after prolonged gaming.
But, if you are into gaming &nbsp;on a regular basis then I should point that you can get the more powerful Poco X6 Pro for almost the same price.&nbsp;
Anyway, day to day performance on this phone was pretty nice. I did notice some micro stutters here and there, but it was nothing major.&nbsp;
The Oxygen OS 14 that powers this smartphone on the software side, is a pleasant affair. So, no ads, or bloatware, or glance lock screen here &ndash; quite an achievement on a mid-range smartphone.&nbsp;
OnePlus is also promising 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates with this smartphone.&nbsp;
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 4 Cameras</h3>

Mid-range phones are finally getting rid of 2MP macro cameras this year, and the Nord CE 4 follows this trend.&nbsp;
So, at the back of this phone, you&rsquo;ll see two sensors, a 50MP main and an 8MP ultrawide.
The primary sensor here is the Sony Lytia LYT-600 and it is a good performer for the price with decent dynamic range and fairly accurate colours.&nbsp;
That being said, the videos from this sensor are not very impressive, both in terms of detail and stability.
The secondary 8MP camera will get the job done as long as you are giving it enough natural light. But the shots remain soft around the corners.
The 16MP selfie camera takes colour accurate photos without any skin smoothening, so that&rsquo;s good.&nbsp;
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 4 Battery Life</h3>
A 5,500mAh cell is big by any standard and the Nord CE 4&rsquo;s endurance is a testament to that.&nbsp;
WIth my mixed usage I could easily get around 8.5 to 9 hours of screen time with this smartphone.&nbsp;
So, yes you can easily extract 2 days of battery life from this smartphone if you are a light user.
And charging is no slouch either. This smartphone supports 100W wired fast charging and comes with a bundled adapter as well.&nbsp;
A full charge takes a mere half an hour, which sweetens the deal even further.
<h3>OnePlus Nord CE 4 Review</h3>
The Nord CE 4 is a great everyday smartphone. While the battery life and fast charging are its major selling points, it also comes with clean software and a good display.
So, if you&rsquo;re looking for a well-rounded smartphone in the ₹25,000 segment, this is definitely worth a shot.

The Xiaomi 14 is packaged in a standard retail box, complete with the expected user manuals, a 120W charging brick capable of 90W fast charging, and a USB-A to USB-C cable. Plus, there's a silicone case included in the box.&nbsp;
<h3>Xiaomi 14 Design &amp; Display</h3>
The Xiaomi 14 measures up at a cozy 6.36 inches, nudging just a bit beyond the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the iPhone 15 Pro.
However, it&rsquo;s still incredibly pocket-friendly and mimics the elegant design language of its rivals, featuring a sleek metallic frame and smooth flat edges.&nbsp;
From the back, the Xiaomi 14 might not grab everyone's attention, but there is something appealing about its straightforward design.
The rear features a square camera module in the top left corner, which has been positioned cleverly, so your finger naturally rests just below, making it super comfy to hold.&nbsp;
And at 193 grams, it's perfectly balanced for using with just one hand. My review unit came in this cool, fingerprint-resistant matte black, but there's this really snazzy green version you might want to check out.
It also offers an IP68 rating, so it's not afraid of a little water, and the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, so it's pretty tough.&nbsp;
The fingerprint sensor is a bit lower than I'd prefer, but it is it quick and dependable. Plus, the phone gets Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers, which pack a surprising amount of depth.&nbsp;
They also pair wonderfully with this beautiful AMOLED display, which comes with HDR 10+ credentials, making it an excellent device for watching movies.&nbsp;
The display resolution is set at 2,670 x 1,200 pixels, offering a slight improvement over the Xiaomi 13, and supports a dynamic refresh rate that switches from 1 Hz to 120 Hz , giving you silky smooth scrolling and a bit of a battery boost.&nbsp;
The display is impressively bright too, allowing for easy reading outdoors in direct sunlight, and it can achieve a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.&nbsp;
<h3>Xiaomi 14 Camera</h3>
The Xiaomi 14 steps it up from last year's model by swapping out the rear cameras for a way better lineup. Now, you're getting a trio of 50MP shooters on the back, co-developed with the legendary Leica.
For the first time, we're seeing the Light Fusion 900 sensor in the main camera, which is supposed to be better at capturing light, thanks to its size.
It also comes with OIS, and a 23mm focal length. Complementing it are a 14mm ultrawide and a 75mm f/2.0 floating telephoto lens with OIS that brings 3.2x optical zoom into play.
Taking pics with the main camera feels snappy, even a bit quicker than my iPhone 15 Pro, delivering top-notch images in daylight.

Images come out crisp and full of detail, with noise barely in the picture. It also handles high-contrast scenes well, not overexposing bright spots or crushing shadows.
Colours are true to life in Leica Authentic mode, though you can dial up the saturation with Leica Vibrant if that's more your thing. &nbsp;
2X shots, which are cropped from the main sensor, can be a hit or miss. &nbsp;They may lack some sharpness, but you'd have to zoom in closely to notice any shortcomings.
Under mixed or low light, the Xiaomi 14 skillfully manages colours and contrast, avoiding an overwashed look. It avoids unnaturally brightening dark parts of a photo or altering the sky's colour, a common issue with competitors.
The ultrawide lens isn't on the same level as the main camera, lacking OIS and a more impressive focal length. &nbsp;But quality-wise, it's still pretty decent compared to what else is out there.&nbsp;
Diving into the telephoto capabilities, the 3.2x optical zoom slightly edges out the Galaxy S24 and S24+ 3x zoom. It captures detailed and noise-free shots in various environments.
The colours here tend to be warmer than at 1x and 2x zoom levels, which lean cooler.
Even when you digitally zoom in to 10x, you still get a pretty good picture, and pushing it up to 60x is possible, though you'll start to see a drop in detail and pixelation well before reaching that extreme.&nbsp;
But let's quickly circle back to that 3.2x zoom. It isn't there just for covering distance; it's also fantastic for snapping some stunning macro shots. Plus, you can use Leicas's black-and-white filter in this zoom level to get some dramatic shots.&nbsp;
Then there&rsquo;s the Portrait mode, which is mostly good but I didn&rsquo;t always find it to be consistent, sometimes delivering stunning portraits with crisp edge detection and DSLR-level background blur, even in low light.
But at other times, it was a bit off, leaving me wanting more. I also played around with the different portrait styles Xiaomi throws into the mix.
You've got the 35mm Documentary, 50mm Swirly Bokeh, 75mm Portrait, and the 90mm Soft Focus Lens. The last one produced some weird results, so it was my least favourite.
The Xiaomi 14 impresses in the video department, offering 4K at 60fps across all three lenses. It's worth mentioning, though, that the HDR mode, which enhances dynamic range, is limited to 4K at 30FPS and doesn't extend to 60 FPS.&nbsp;
There's also the option to shoot in 8K using only the main camera, but it's quite the storage hog. While recording, you can zoom up to 15x, but I wasn't exactly thrilled with Xiaomi's zoom slider.
It felt a bit clunky compared to the more straightforward lens-switching solutions seen in other smartphones.
Around the front is a 32MP selfie camera. It's on par with other flagship offerings, delivering solid detail. By default, it tends to overly smooth skin textures, so you might want to dial that setting down to get more natural-looking results.&nbsp;
Overall, the Xiaomi 14 is a dependable choice for photography thanks to its diverse range of features, though it feels like it's just a couple of updates away from clinching the title of the best camera phone.
<h3>&nbsp;Xiaomi 14 Processor (Performance)</h3>
The powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor runs the show here. We've already seen it work wonders in Samsung&rsquo;s S24 Ultra, and it doesn't drop the ball with the Xiaomi 14 either.&nbsp;
This phone is a beast, tearing through benchmarks like they're nothing and holding its own under heavy use. In our throttle test, it only dialed back to 85% of its max power, which is very impressive.
Additionally, the phone packs 12 GB of RAM and a generous 512 GB of the latest UFS 4.0 storage. That means it&rsquo;s fast and built to handle anything you throw at it.
I had zero problems with multitasking or playing the most demanding games at the highest graphic settings.
During longer gaming stretches or when capturing photos out in the sun, the back of the phone, especially around the middle, tends to warm up a bit.&nbsp;
Its compact size doesn't allow for as effective heat management as you might find in larger devices, but it's worth noting I didn't experience any performance throttling or issues with the camera app refusing to take photos.
<h3>Xiaomi 14 Software</h3>
If there's one hiccup with Xiaomi phones, it's usually the software. The new HyperOS, built on Android 14 picks up where MIUI left off, and does a slightly better job of streamlining things up a bit.
Yet, you'll still find a bunch of extra apps cluttering the space, along with numerous Xiaomi apps set as the default options.
Out of the box, the interface might remind you of iOS, which I guess is good news for any one transitioning from iPhone to Android.
Xiaomi's promise of four years of Android updates and five years of security patches isn't too bad either, even though it doesn't quite stack up to the longer support periods offered by Samsung or Google.
<h3>Xiaomi 14 Battery&nbsp;</h3>
Xiaomi 14 packs a 4610mAh battery, which might seem modest in size, but it's proven to deliver strong battery life in my tests. I've managed to get through a full day of mixed-to-heavy use without any problems.

The POCO X6 Neo is not just another budget-friendly phone you can easily overlook. - It's slim, light, and feels premium in the hand. I also like the sleek black case it comes with right out of the box.
But what really catches your eye is the colour. POCO is calling it Martian Orange, but to me, it looks more like peach than orange. Regardless, it's absolutely one of the best colours I've laid eyes on in a while.&nbsp; And if you're not into the whole intergalactic fruit look, no worries&mdash;there are more down-to-earth colours like black and blue.
The back is all plastic but it doesn't feel cheap in the hand and its features a gradient effect that plays with the light and ripples across the surface. And thanks to its matte finish, you can say goodbye to constantly wiping away fingerprints.&nbsp;
POCO's signature large rectangular camera bump adds a distinctive look, though it does make the phone rock a bit when you set it down. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button&mdash; it was quick and reliable every time I used it.
Flipping to the front, the POCO X6 Neo sports impressively thin bezels that are a rare sight in this price bracket. It also comes with Gorilla Glass 5 upfront and an IP54 rating, so it's tough enough to handle some wear and tear.

Honestly, the photos from the main camera are way clearer and more detailed than you'd expect at this price. The colours look vibrant but the highlights could have been handled better.
Portrait mode shots look great, though edge detection can be hit or miss. Low-light photography gets a boost from the night mode, and while selfies could be sharper in less-than-ideal lighting, they look pretty good when the light is right.

But in the mid-range category, it's often a different story, with compromises and uninspired designs.&nbsp;
Well, that's where London-based smartphone maker Nothing steps in, aiming to inject some excitement into the scene with their unique phones and accessories.&nbsp;
And now, they've brought their latest creation, the Nothing Phone 2a, to India. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I'm ready to share my thoughts on this very intriguing device.

Nothing isn&rsquo;t new to the smartphone game, but with the Phone 2a, they&rsquo;ve made some noticeable adjustments from their past models. &nbsp;
The most significant change is the price. The Nothing Phone 2a price starts at Rs. 23,999 Rupees, making it distinctly more accessible in terms of cost.
The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant is available for Rs. 25,999, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model can be yours for Rs. 27,999.

The packaging of the Nothing Phone 2a is a cut above the rest, leaving a remarkable first impression in a sea of generic boxes.
This attention to detail also extends to the included USB cable and the sim tool, all matching the phone's semi-transparent aesthetic.
<h3>Nothing Phone 2a Design &amp; Glyph Interface</h3>
I've been sent the black variant of the Nothing phone 2a, which I find does a better job of showcasing the phone's internals than the white option.&nbsp;
But, regardless of the colour you choose, the back panel tends to attract dust quite easily and is prone to picking up scratches.
Now, the most apparent change from the previous Nothing phones is the positioning of the rear camera module.
The Phone 2a features a horizontally aligned dual-camera setup, housed in an elevated, pill-shaped module.&nbsp;
It's one of the more quirkier camera designs I've seen on a smartphone and it kinda reminds me of the minions from Despicable Me.&nbsp;
Unlike the Nothing Phone 2, this one is constructed from plastic rather than metal and glass. The glyph interface LEDs have been streamlined too, &nbsp;now encircling the camera module at the top with just three strips.&nbsp;
And honestly, that&rsquo;s all you really need, as these LEDs still manage to deliver one heck of a light show. You can use it for timers, volume adjustments, and even music playback.
Look, I'll admit that even after three generations of Nothing phones, this feature still feels gimmicky. But at the same time, it adds a fun and unique element to the device.
I genuinely enjoy the surprise reactions when the phone's back lights up unexpectedly, and I really love flipping the phone upside down and watching the lights illuminate.

Powered by Nothing OS 2.5 and built on Android 14, this interface is all about simplicity and elegance.
It embraces a distinguished digital aesthetic, offering a blend of retro charm with dot matrix elements alongside a futuristic vibe with its clever use of colour on a predominantly monochrome palette.&nbsp;
Now, it can be styled to look just like regular Android, but it encourages you to fill your home screen with big folders and widgets for a much more interesting experience
As for software policy, the Nothing Phone 2a will be getting three Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches.
This doesn't quite reach the level of support provided by Samsung or Google which are a bit pricier, but it's still better than most in this price bracket.
<h3>Nothing Phone 2a Specifications</h3>
Now, let's turn our attention to the hardware, and it's worth noting that the Phone 2a has skillfully balanced its specifications to produce a device that's not only attractive but also well-equipped.&nbsp;
Take the 6.7-inch AMOLED display, for instance. It boasts a 120-Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.
In my testing, I had no issues reading the screen outdoors, and with its 2K resolution, the display is not only sharp but also feels responsive.
It delivers the most satisfying haptic feedback I've felt in any smartphone within the sub 25,000 Rupees range, giving precise tactile responses exactly where you tap.
The screen quality is great for video playback too, and the inclusion of a powerful stereo speaker setup is a definite advantage.
<h3>Nothing phone 2a Processor</h3>
Performance is another highlight of this phone. I didn't encounter any hiccups, whether I was flipping between apps or gaming on Call of Duty mobile at medium settings.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset under the hood is a real workhorse, holding its own in benchmarks.&nbsp;
I've been using the 8GB RAM, 256GB storage model, but for those craving a bit more firepower, there's a 12GB RAM version as well.

Nothing has also equipped a 5,000-mAh battery into the Phone 2a, providing excellent endurance. Even on days filled with heavy usage, I frequently found myself with 30 percent battery life by bedtime.
On lighter days, the battery level typically hovered around 50 percent by the end of the day, comfortably stretching into a portion of the next day on just a single charge.&nbsp;
Talking about charging, I should point out that the box does not come with a charger. However, when I used a 45W third-party adapter, I was able to achieve a full charge in approximately one hour.

Then Nothing Phone 2a features three cameras in total: a pair of 50-megapixel lenses on the rear and a 32-megapixel selfie camera, offering performance that closely matches that of the pricier Nothing Phone 2.
The main camera snaps pretty solid photos with nice dynamic range. The colors come out looking quite natural, and it handles high-contrast situations pretty well.
Portrait shots turned out nice too, with sharp edge detection and a pleasing background blur.
The ultra-wide camera produces decent photos, though images can appear soft around the edges and the colors don't match with the main camera's output.
A notable miss is the lack of a telephoto lens, which means zoomed-in shots beyond 2x will lack detail. Overall, I wouldn't label it the top camera system in its class but it's dependable for your daily photography requirements.&nbsp;

The Nothing Phone 2a is a thoroughly reliable device that's ready to keep pace with your demands and look great while doing so.
And sure, it faces stiff competition from numerous similarly priced models in the market, such as the Poco X6 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro, among others, many of which provide similar or superior performance.
Yet, the Nothing Phone 2a distinguishes itself with its unique design and fun software, qualities not often found in the mid-range segment.
&nbsp;I think it will be an easy pick for most people, whether they're on a tight budget or have the flexibility to spend more.
